LEGISLATIVE ACHIEVEMENTS:

  • Lobbyist, Louisiana Association of Health Underwriters ~ Created and spear-headed a grassroots project for the Agents of Louisiana beginning March ’09 to present with regard to healthcare reform legislation.  Several States have since duplicated and implemented Louisiana’s plan. 
  • Field Organizer, Medicare Today ~ Participated in a grassroots effort to introduce, enroll and educate seniors with regard to Medicare Part D.  Approximately one-thousand seniors were assisted in Louisiana and Mississippi through 2005 & 2006.
  • Education Station ~ Worked through the “No-Child Left Behind” program in the inter-city of New Orleans school system.  Providing assistance to the after-school programs for low-income children with regard to their math and English curriculum.  This work was completed pre-Katrina.
  • Health Access America ~ National campaign to bring the right health insurance choices to uninsured population.
